Description

Staff Management | SMX is looking for an individual to join our team at our client Dabico Airport Solutions as a Buyer. You would be responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies from vendors. This individual will evaluate vendor quotes and services to determine the most desirable suppliers.

Work closely with buyers on a variety of sourcingUpdate data in our MRP system which may include Item Masters, Vendor Masters, and Purchase OrdersPreparing RFP / RFQ packages for required partsObtains price quotationsGeneral data analysisInvestigate, suggest and work on improvements to our processes and systemsEvaluate quotes and proposals and make recommendations for best purchaseCapable and comfortable negotiating with vendors for best terms for DabicoEstablish, build and expand relationships with existing and potential vendors at multiple levels in the organizationResearching and prospecting new items requested by our sales staff and managing the implementation of new itemsPotential to help with supplier visits and auditsPrepare updates on sourcing status for buyers, update meetings, and managementAttend meetings are required to provide latest status of incoming partsProvide updates through emails and calls to sales, maintenance, manufacturing, management, etc. towards the status of incoming partsAssists in answering technical questions by connecting engineering with vendors as neededAssist when inventory research and cycle counts as neededAssist with receiving questions and reconciliation as neededAssist with receipt and invoicing questions and reconciliation as neededObserve company policies and proceduresPerform other tasks assigned and as needed

Bachelor's degree a plus with 3+ years of demonstrated experience in a Purchasing Department in a manufacturing industry goal.Familiar with typical MRP processesGood knowledge of appropriate tools used in purchasing and inventory managementComfortable working in highly dynamic and changing environmentCastings, fiber glass, cables, electronics, sheet metal, machining, refrigeration, motors procurement preferredBusiness Central experience preferredFamiliar with MS Office, above average user of MS ExcelFamiliar with MRP / ERP systems in past assignmentsSolid math skills to evaluate and compare a variety of commercial factorsSuccessful completion of pre-employment screeningLegally authorized to work in the United StatesĀ

Associate Requirements Bachelors Background Check Drug Test Must be at least 18 years old The hourly rate for this position is anticipated between $20.00 - $25.00 per hour. This range is a good-faith estimate, based on the shift you work and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law.
