Our Corporate team has an opening for a Buyer! The Buyer position will obtain high-quality products at the best price to meet business demand.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

Buy purchased parts and manage when received. Manage price and lead times on each item in Syteline. Process PO requisitions to issue to vendors/suppliers, ensuring accuracy of terms in quantity, specifications, and delivery dates. Obtain quotes for customer orders. Submit engineering inquiry requests as needed. Submit and manage new vendor request forms as needed. Execute make/buy decision if a part cannot be purchased to meet appliable schedule and/or budget. Update Vendor PO details in the system as applicable. Complete item creation for all purchased parts. Qualify vendors/suppliers based on quality, reliability, cost and delivery time. Manage Approved Vendor List and Vendor Performance Ratings. Complete vendor audits as needed. Manage applicable vendor/supplier contracts. Meet or exceed identified cost reduction targets. Ensure adequate supply amount for items based on forecast. Effectively manage relationships with suppliers through all phases of the life cycle. Coordinate RMA and corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with internal team members to help achieve identified targets and KPIs. Identify opportunities for process improvement, cost savings, etc.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

At least 3-5 years of related experience Strong communication, negotiation and analytical skills High attention to detail Provide excellent customer service Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers Strong technical proficiency
