Buyer Summary **Title:** Buyer **ID:** 2614 **Department:** Supply Chain **Location:** Buffalo, NY Description **Nissha Medical Technologies** is looking to hire a **Buyer** for our **Buffalo, NY** Innovation Center! The Buyer position is a key role within our strategic plan for global Supply Chain management. Excellent organizational skills, ability to balance short term priorities and analytical skills are a necessity. Key objectives will be achieving/improving/exceeding targeted customer service levels, balancing inventory levels and targets, and managing supply and demand within the supply chain in support of a mixed-mode manufacturing operation using established Purchasing Policies and Procedures. Essential Job Functions: + Analyze Bills of Material, routings, and demand. Work within mainframe environment to enter purchase orders, make inquiries/ decisions regarding inventory, historical records, etc. + Proactive approach to maintaining a high level of service to internal and external customers. + React to the increase variation from forecast and/or customer demand to take the appropriate actions within the supply chain. + Ensure on time delivery of purchases and communicate/ resolve quality issues and other supplier performance problems. + Maintain Master Supplier Files, including Supplier Scorecards for “A” level suppliers. + Maximize inventory turns and minimize inventory carrying cost while maintaining customer expectations. + Provide Customer Service with valid available to promise dates. + Support ERP projects for data clean up, implementation, and sustainment. + Interact with the Production Team and Planners to ensure that production schedules can be executed in the planned time frame regarding capacity and material availability. + As necessary, manage change within time fences, (due to emergency production concerns, expedites, equipment, problems, etc.) + May plan requirements for assigned area of responsibility, in keeping with company goals, policies and procedures. + Special Projects centered around data integrity and continuous improvements as determined by manager.
