Our goal is to remain at the forefront of assessment and measurement efficacy within the education and ed tech space as it continues to grow and evolve. **Summary** : The Buyer serves as a professional member of the Corporate Procurement Group within Finance. This role involves the acquisition of goods and services for assigned commodities in compliance with corporate procurement policies and goals, applicable regulatory constraints, and professional procurement practices. **Responsibilities:** + Perform buying duties, purchase of goods and services to ensure economy, quality, and continuity of supply. + Prepare and maintain purchase orders and send copies to suppliers and originating departments. + Evaluate requisition orders for accuracy in terminology and specifications. + Assess planning and procurement requests to ensure alignment with corporate policies and goals, as well as quantity, specifications, + and delivery requirements. + Respond to customer and supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations. + Negotiate, draft, and approve purchase orders based of quality of products and/or services. + Identify and evaluate suppliers. + Communicate purchasing policies and procedures to internal and external clients. + Assist clients in initiating requests for goods and/or services. + Negotiate and administer the return and replacement of damaged, defective, or incorrect goods. + Resolve discrepancies with purchase orders, authorize changes in materials, prices, schedules, delivery, payment, receipts and other + terms and conditions as required. + Adhere to ethical standards and comply with the laws and regulations applicable to your job function. + Delegated commitment authority on behalf of ETS for all procurement in accordance with Authorized Signature list. + Contact suppliers to schedule or expedite deliveries and resolve issues such as shortages, missed deliveries, and other problems. + Track the status of requisitions, contracts, and orders. + Process purchase orders and change orders related to contract issuance. + Foster good relations and a positive image with clients, suppliers, and team members, promoting courtesy, objectivity, and fairness. + Achieve cost /savings/avoidances consistent with annual corporate and department objectives. + Identifies and prioritizes saving opportunities through analytical research of current and historical pricing rates and data. + Utilize the required systems to complete tasks, such as ERP and Contract Module. **Education** : An Associate’s degree in a business-related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and abilities can be acquired Relevant **Years of Experience:** Minimum of 2+ years of progressively responsible procurement experience Other Requirements (Specialized skill sets, behavioral/technical) **ETS believes in a Total Rewards philosophy for our employees, and they include:** + Health, Vision, Dental insurance plans to choose from + Generous continuous learning support, from individual learning grants to up to 6 classes a year for tuition reimbursement as well as on-line learning access! + Generous PTO and vacation time to balance your work and life + Additional 8 hours of PTO for volunteer work + Retirement plan (401(a)) and traditional Roth (403b) with company contribution + Commuter Benefits, Pet Insurance, 1 year subscription to Calm App **ETS is mission driven and action oriented** + Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging is at the forefront of the ETS employee's daily work.
