Job Title: Buyer Job Description Review order reports, cut orders, follow up on orders, and ensure the database remains accurate and up to date. Work on bulking up inventory in anticipation of a spike in Q1 2025. Compile and review items to order, gather and solicit quotes from vendors and suppliers, and perform comparative analyses. Create purchase orders, monitor and manage delivery schedules, and follow up with vendors and suppliers. Report on the progress of assigned activities and maintain proactive communication with internal customers. Handle purchasing in the chemistry and reagents industry, specifically High Density/LD Cholesterol, serum, and liquid chemistry. Hard Skills + Knowledge of chemicals and chemistries (plasma preferred) and reagents manufacturing + Experience with MRP/ERP systems (Macola preferred, SAP/Oracle or similar systems) + Working experience in GMP, GDP, and/or cGMP Soft Skills + Proactive communication + Project management (preferred) Job Type This is a contract position with a duration of 6 Month(s). There is potential for extension and conversion. Work Site This is a fully on-site position in San Marcos, California. Work Environment 1st floor production/manufacturing and 2nd floor purchasing; ability to go up and down stairs. A technical background is a plus. Seeking a candidate with a professional demeanor.
