Our Pavilion combines the most advanced medical and surgical services with a unique healing environment including private spacious rooms and inviting garden areas. **Responsibilities** Position Summary: In accordance with the signature authority approval policies and procedures, the Buyer reviews requisitions, purchases materials, supplies and equipment from approved suppliers in the most cost effective manner. The Buyer serves as a liaison between various departments and the vendor community. In accordance with the mission and philosophy of Dignity Health, the Buyer at Sequoia Hospital is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients and their families. When called upon, the incumbent shall assist in risk evaluation and work collaboratively with facility/entity leaders to implement, monitor and mitigate risk corrective plans outlined by the Compliance program. **Qualifications** **Minimum:** + Experience with purchasing for a major medical center required + Knowledge of relevant vendor community reqiured + Familiarity with various Materials Management Information Systems required + Working knowledge of Excel, Word, Access, and Lawson required **Preferred:** + AA Degree or greater is preferred in Business or Accounting preferred **Pay Range** $30.73 - $35.62 /hour We are an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer.
