In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Buyers perform the complex technical duties related to the procurement of the specialized equipment, materials, services and supplies, required by IDT’s operational groups in accordance with all applicable procedures and regulations. The essential requirements of the job include: + Determines and develops appropriate sources of supply and maintains cooperative working relationships with vendors to stay current with trends, technologies, products, and services + Reduces cost, increases quality, and improves service by reducing the number of suppliers and consolidating purchasing power (supplier rationalization). + Minimum of three (3) years of progressive work experience managing supply chain, logistics, or purchasing functions on behalf of an organization is preferred + Working knowledge of a tier one ERP system (e.g. SAP, Oracle, etc.), is required It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a science related field from an accredited college or university, preferred + Strong interpersonal and communication skills (oral & written). + Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities. + Adaptability to accept responsibility for the direction, control or planning of an activity. + Adaptability to situations requiring the precise attainment of set limits, tolerances or standards. + Prior professional experience within an ISO 9001, 13485 and 14001 certified organization preferred The salary range OR the hourly range for this role is 65,000- 70,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.
