This role is integral to supporting the Clinic's mission and vision by ensuring the procurement of various medical supplies and equipment required for daily patient care. A caregiver in this position works days, 8:00am—5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Review requisitions to assure compliance to approved vendors.
Adhere to department processes and guidelines for materials, supplies, and services to be purchased.
Support the process of pricing validation, resolution of invoice price discrepancies, and conversions to compliant purchases.
Work with the category team in the resolution and escalation of issues related to pricing, availability of supply, product specifications, and utilization.
Own backorder and substitution requirements and action plans to ensure the proper supply level to maintain patient care levels.
Maintain the proper and appropriate professional and ethical relationships with all vendor representatives, conduct business according to established principles and guidelines.
Organize, facilitate updates, and retain product information files and purchase order records.
Secure reasons for price changes and challenges price changes when not justified.
Ensure appropriate paperwork is secured from the vendor and updated in the respective information systems.
Work in concert with the sourcing teams that all updates are processed on a timely basis to facilitate an efficient procure to pay process.
Communicate the status of issues to appropriate staff as required.
Deliver a high-level of customer service to all internal and external customers and vendors.
Adhere to all policies, guidelines, operating procedures, and reporting metrics to manage the utilization and compliance of the procure-to-pay process.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, transportation and logistics, Business, or a related field.
Two years of purchasing or related experience.
An additional four years of supply chain or purchasing experience can substitute for the degree requirement.
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) certification.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
