Evaluates vendor quotes and services to determine most cost effective suppliers. Utilizes prudent buyer concepts according to established purchasing policies and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks. Is familiar with and utilizes GPO contracts and services to support cost savings goals. Works under limited supervision while reporting to the Purchasing Manager. This position requires the use of initiative and independent judgment. This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Corporate Services. ICARE standards must be demonstrated. Adherence to Code of Conduct and other policies is required. JOB QUALIFICATIONS + Education/Training/Experience: + REQUIRED: + High School Diploma or equivalent. + Experience with Microsoft and other computer applications. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + 2 years buying experience or equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. + PREFERRED: + Some college preferred + License/Certifications/Special Requirements: + Certification from recognized Purchasing organization highly desirable. + Pay Status: + NON-EXEMPT HOURLY Blessing Health System provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
