PURPOSE STATEMENT• Manages assigned directs (ingredients only) and indirects categories to ensure that Rich’s requirements for delivery, quality, cost and food safety are met, ensuring that Rich’s values and professionalism are maintained throughout the supply base.
• To ensure best value is attained via contract negotiation across all categories.
• Support the Head of Procurement with Indirect Projects.
• Create, negotiate and implement best value agreements across all inbound ingredients to achieve lowest cost.
• Lead negotiations with suppliers to achieve best price.
• Provide exceptional customer service to cross functional teams on a daily basis namely Sales, Supply Chain, R&D and Technical. Sit in Customer teams meetings providing procurement advice and guidance for ingredient categories.
• Help to resolve all quality, service, and financial issues for assigned categories.
• Complete various financial reporting tasks such as, flash reporting, ROCS reporting, contract balance analysis, spend by supplier reporting. Etc.
• Actively works to identify and implement cost savings opportunities including resistance to pricing pressures.
• Partner with R&D to identify new suppliers for ingredient requirements and help to support R&D / Procurement ROCS projects.
• New material code creation.
• Occasional travel required to meet with suppliers.
• Any other role/project as deemed appropriate by the Company.
