This position is based in Temple, TX, which will require the candidate to report and work from the office on a regular basis. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute commute to Temple,TX.

The Buyer procures and manages inventory for all McLane Grocery divisions. They utilize various McLane systems, applications, and best practices to achieve the goals set forth for the department for service level, DSII, overstocks, distributions, SKU management, and income.
Ensure that all pricing and deals are accurate and that any changes or updates are communicated in accordance with company pricing and deal policies.Work closely with and communicate well with suppliers, brokers, customer and McLane Grocery divisions, to include customer service, sales, accounting and operations.Analyze sales and purchasing trends to identify, plan and execute seasonal strategies and other changes in demand.Review daily service level, DSII reporting, and daily out reports by division (Report Net, and MPulse SL cube).Review of the past due and unconfirmed purchase orders report, three-day time supply.This position has additional duties. Special projects may be assigned at the position supervisor's discretion.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:
Have a bachelor's degree in Business or a related major.Have at least 2 years of business-related work experience.Purchasing or inventory management background is preferred; sales experience is also helpful.Management and supervisory experience is helpful, along with experience from a distributor or wholesale background.Be proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Outlook, Word).Candidates may be subject to a background check and drug screen, in accordance with applicable laws.
