Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely arrival of all production and service parts, maintaining inventory accuracy, and negotiating with vendors to secure high-quality goods at the best prices.
ResponsibilitiesDetermine what products to buy with the assistance of running reports for production and manufacturing.Ensure that all production and service parts arrive in a timely manner.Keep track of inventory, monitor shortages, and send out shortage reports to appropriate staff as needed.Cross-check invoices with purchase orders for correct pricing upon receipt.Maintain a database on price changes of parts, lead times, and vendors.Issue and manage purchase orders for raw materials for production.Negotiate with vendors to get the best price for high-quality goods.Perform cross-checks on purchase orders with invoices and submit them to accounting.Essential SkillsProficiency in computer skills.Supply chain and purchasing experience.Strong negotiation and communication skills.2+ years of purchasing or buying experience.Ability to read and interpret work orders and sales orders.Experience with production planning.Familiarity with ERP systems.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Data entry skills.Additional Skills & QualificationsEnsure material and parts arrive on time.Follow up with vendors.Source new vendors for production materials.Work Environment
This position is based in a manufacturing environment and an office. The work environment is non-climate controlled. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm.

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00
