Job Description

Under direct leadership, the Indirect Buyer will be responsible for purchasing materials, supplies, equipment, and outside services the company needs to complete essential business functions. This role involves tracking and accelerating these materials and service requirements to support the production of vehicles and the timely completion of projects. The Indirect Buyer is responsible for sourcing and qualifying vendors, negotiating pricing, planning purchased material supply, and placing purchase orders to fulfill demand. The goal is to ensure constant availability of non-inventory goods and/or services within the company's budget while demonstrating that 'Everything is Important.'

ResponsibilitiesProcure goods and services for the company.Evaluate price, reliability, quality, technical support, and availability of goods and services.Ensure part master data within MRP is accurate.Work with current suppliers to follow up on and expedite open orders.Generate purchase requisitions and place Purchase Orders with suppliers to meet demand.Ensure on-time delivery of purchased material at or below planned costs.Negotiate pricing with vendors to reduce total cost.Manage suppliers for Cost, Quality, and Delivery.Identify constraints that may impact production schedules.Review purchase orders and shipping documents, coordinating with receiving and accounting to ensure accuracy of all details and purchase order closure.Work in a cross-functional team environment as a strong team player, demonstrating the ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsProcurementSupply chainERPPurchasing experienceMS ExcelAdditional Skills & QualificationsAssociated degree preferred3 years of purchasing experienceERP or SAP experienceExperience in aerospace, automotive, or startup environments preferredWork Environment

This position is on-site in Carson.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00
