Job Description

This is a multifaceted buyer role involving the procurement of various raw materials and management of inventory. The position requires handling purchase orders, managing blanket purchase orders, and ensuring just-in-time inventory management. The Buyer will also manage requisitions from different departments, identify the best prices and urgency for orders, and communicate effectively with internal teams. Additionally, the role involves receiving items in the ERP system, managing outside service providers, and ensuring timely delivery and quality of outsourced processes.

ResponsibilitiesIdentify, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials and products.Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers, seeking cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.Coordinate and process purchase orders efficiently through the ERP system.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.Work with quality control teams to ensure purchased materials meet specified standards.Monitor and control costs related to procurement and identify cost-saving initiatives.Implement and maintain effective inventory control processes, monitoring stock levels, reorder points, and lead times.Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving and storage, ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures.Maximize warehouse space utilization and organization by implementing efficient storage solutions.Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.Coordinate with other departments to fulfill internal and external orders accurately and on time.Essential SkillsExperience within purchasing ERP System proficiency (Epicor preferred) Strong negotiation and communication skillsFamiliarity with procurement processes and supply chain managementExcellent organizational and problem-solving abilitiesWork Environment

This position will be onsite in Clifton 5 days a week, from 8 am to 5 pm. The initial 90 days will require these hours, with potential flexibility to 7 am to 4 pm or 9 am to 6 pm, depending on business needs. The work environment includes managing warehouse operations and collaborating with various departments to ensure smooth procurement and inventory processes.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $33.65
