Job Description
Plan, organize, and coordinate activities related to the procurement function. Work with vendors to maintain and/or improve service levels as required. Generate purchase orders to ensure appropriate inventory levels. Respond to inquiries from internal and external sources to provide information and/or direction. Review requisitions and purchase orders to ensure completeness and accuracy prior to processing. Maintain a positive relationship and open communication with division buyers, managers, and corporate staff. Maintain data records to evaluate vendor quotations and utilize appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service. Identify and expedite supplier ship dates to meet requirements. Identify and evaluate potential suppliers; proactively seek and evaluate new qualified suppliers. Work closely with suppliers to reduce costs of materials and meet quality/delivery requirements. Manage competitive bidding and pricing processes. Review bids and proposals for competitive cost, quality, and facility/customer specification requirements. Work with Accounting to resolve invoice and purchasing order variances.

Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to minimal noise, carpeted floor (bare in warehouse and restrooms), and normal office light levels. Regular benefits include 401k, health, medical, and dental. Recently acquired by a German company, leading to more opportunities for advancement. There is potential to change the compensation plan to add a bonus structure for this position.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $80000.00
