Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer to join our team. The Buyer will be responsible forsourcing and procuring the raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and supplies necessary for production. This role involves managing supplier relationships, ensuring cost-effective purchasing strategies, maintaining inventory levels, and supporting the production process to meet demand efficiently.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers for raw materials, ingredients, packaging, and other production-related
items in alignment with the company's quality standards and production schedules.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with suppliers. Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts to secure the
best possible value while ensuring timely delivery of materials.
• Monitor stock levels to ensure the continuous availability of materials while preventing excess inventory. Work
closely with the production team to plan material needs based on demand and production schedules.
• Track and analyze market trends to make informed decisions about purchasing. Strive to reduce material costs
and increase purchasing efficiency without compromising product quality.
• Place and track purchase orders, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of materials. Address any issues with
suppliers, including delays, quality concerns, and discrepancies in orders.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure that all purchased materials meet the company’s quality
standards and comply with food safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, supplier contracts, and inventory levels. Provide regular reports on
purchasing activity, budget adherence, and inventory status to management.
• Work closely with the production, logistics, and finance teams to forecast needs, support production schedules,
and ensure the smooth flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process.
• Assist with cross-functional tasks as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent
experience).
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, ideally in a food manufacturing or similar
industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Knowledge of supply chain best practices and inventory management.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards is a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Strong collaboration and team-working skills.
