Job Summary: The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing materials, supplies, and equipment necessary for the manufacturing process. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers. Key Responsibilities: + Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on quality, cost, and delivery capabilities. + Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to ensure the best possible terms. + Place purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies. + Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production and warehouse teams to maintain optimal stock levels. + Resolve any issues related to delivery, quality, or pricing with suppliers. + Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data. + Collaborate with other departments to forecast demand and plan procurement activities. + Stay updated on market trends and industry developments to make informed purchasing decisions. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. + Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role within the manufacturing sector. + Strong negotiation and communication skills. + Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. + Excellent organizational and time management skills. + Ability to work independently and as part of a team. + Attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
