Job Summary:
Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies, specifically the Henry Company business, is looking for a self-motivated Buyer. The Buyer works with all functional departments to determine the raw material and components necessary to meet the production schedule, purchases material at lowest possible cost, and purchases material at lowest possible cost. Maintains adequate levels of raw materials to support efficient plant operations
Duties and Responsibilities:
Schedules replenishment of Raw Materials, Cans and accessory items related to Plant production in accordance with plant requirements, sales, forecasts and inventory plan. Works and coordinates with the Vendors for desirable delivery dates based on customer requests. Collaborates with operations to ensure plant efficiencies are maximized and are not impacted by material shortages Communicates needed warehouse to Planning Team for required transfers from other plants to meet customer requirements. Works with plants to maintain inventory accuracy. Works closely with INV Control to ensure data accuracy for RM and other Production related items Manages products to achieve inventory targeted levels. Monitors or reports backorders or lead times. Receives in all materials into JDE as they are received at Plant. Product Rationalization – Reviews if products should be stock, MTO (lead times), etc. Reviews Inventory Turns and analyze where improvements could be made. Assists other schedulers or MRP Controllers and backup as needed. Builds strong internal and external relationships. Other projects as assignedRequired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:
Required: GED or Highschool Diploma Required Preferred: Associates or bachelor’s degree preferred, Experience in the supply chain field Experience in operations, logistics, sales or other operations in which skills can be tied back to supply chain analytical skillsWorking Conditions:
Office/Plant Environment: Monday – Friday, 7am – 3:30 pm. Work outside of standard hours may be necessary if workload dictates.Physical Requirements:
