We are seeking a versatile and experienced professional to join our team as a Buyer. In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials, managing inventory in the warehouse, and optimizing the supply chain processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to balance cost and urgency in procurement decisions.
ResponsibilitiesIdentify, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials and products.Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure a reliable supply chain.Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers, seeking cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.Coordinate and process purchase orders efficiently through the ERP System.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials.Ensure purchased materials meet specified standards in collaboration with quality control teams.Monitor and control costs related to procurement and identify cost-saving initiatives.Implement and maintain effective inventory control processes, monitoring stock levels, reorder points, and lead times.Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving and storage, ensuring compliance with safety and operational procedures.Maximize warehouse space utilization and organization by implementing efficient storage solutions.Conduct regular inventory counts and audits to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.Coordinate with other departments to fulfill internal and external orders accurately and on time.Essential Skills3+ years of experience in purchasing within a manufacturing environment.Experience interfacing with vendors.Experience with ERP systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent experience.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Familiarity with procurement processes and supply chain management.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.Experience using ERP systems, particularly Epicor.Work Environment
This position will be onsite in Clifton, 5 days a week, with working hours from 8am to 5pm for the first 90 days.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
major medical insurance through HBCBS, employees responsible for 25%. Most expensive plan is under $45/paycheck weekly. This role will be salary. Paid semi-monthly. Prescription plan built in. offer a plan next level down similar with higher copays. And then basic coverage high deductible plan 14/paycheck. 1600.
PTO you accrue 15 days. If you join january. If you start jan. 1 by december 31st its 15 days. 5 hours per paycheck. Allowed to go into the negative. Calculate from start date to cal. Reset. Can use it. if you start january will be fairly close. After 2nd year each year you get one more day until you max out at 25 after 11 years. Can carry over 80 unused hours to the next year. 11 paid holidays. 10 scheduled, 1 floating. Flex with the floater. Life insurance, LTD covered by them. Dental and vision. Vision is $6.45/monthly dental is $6.95/paycheck. Pension plan as well. After being with the company for 3 months you can contribute to a 401k/Roth. Additionally calculate 3% and put it into the pension.
