Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Buyer in Allentown, Pennsylvania. This role falls within the industry of ERP solutions and requires skills in Epicor and Buying Processes. The workplace environment is dynamic, requiring a keen eye for detail and organizational skills. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee buying processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy • Utilize Epicor ERP solutions to streamline procurement operations • Maintain and update supplier information in the purchasing system • Conduct market research to identify new potential suppliers • Collaborate with other departments to forecast future product needs • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time and best prices • Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to established policies and procedures • Resolve issues related to invoice discrepancies and returned goods • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure advantageous terms • Develop strategies to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs Requirements • Demonstrable experience in the role of a Buyer in a relevant industry. • Proficiency in using Epicor software for business processes. • Familiarity with various ERP Solutions and their application in procurement. • In-depth understanding of buying processes, including sourcing, pricing, and negotiation. • Ability to analyze market trends and apply insights to procurement strategies. • Strong negotiation skills for securing cost-effective deals. • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal teams. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills for evaluating suppliers and products. • Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
