Our client, a leading manufacturing organization, is seeking a Buyer to join their team. As a Buyer, you will be part of the production planning department supporting the manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, effective communication abilities, and a proactive approach which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** Contract Buyer
**Location:** Wayne, NJ
**Pay Range:** $37hr-$40hr
Contract is for 6 months only !
**What's the Job?**
+ Prepare and monitor weekly production plans, translating customer demand into actionable manufacturing schedules.
+ Manage key projects while balancing core production activities on the manufacturing floor.
+ Develop and maintain key operational metrics to drive improved plant performance.
+ Utilize SAP to track production launches and resolve discrepancies between schedules and actual outputs.
+ Ensure a continuous flow of materials to avoid delays and underutilization of resources.
**What's Needed?**
+ A minimum of 3 years’ experience in production planning, purchasing, or materials management.
+ Experience in a regulated industry, such as GMPs and ISO 9000, is ideal.
+ APICS Certification is preferred.
+ Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
+ Prior experience with SAP or equivalent MRP systems is required.
