Job Title: Purchasing Specialist
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will assist Project Managers with data collection, create bills of materials, perform technical purchasing, and ensure compliance with purchasing procedures. The role involves collaborating with various teams to maintain adequate stock levels, manage inventory turnover, ensure quality standards, and handle vendor inquiries.
Responsibilities
+ Assist Project Managers with data collection and creating a bill of materials as required.
+ Perform technical purchasing for components and supplies, generating purchase orders ensuring accuracy and compliance with purchasing procedures.
+ Assist with the control of documents, including supply chain and approved vendor lists.
+ Collaborate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure adequate stock levels, minimize excess inventory, and manage inventory turnover.
+ Ensure purchased goods meet quality standards and specifications.
+ Ensure timely delivery of purchased items.
+ Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
+ Assist the accounting team with accounts payable and perform basic accounting functions.
+ Prepare and monitor contract requirements and purchase orders.
+ Maintain confidentiality of organizational information.
+ Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policies.
+ Assist in any other duties as requested by management.
Essential Skills
+ 3+ years of purchasing experience.
+ Experience with Excel.
+ 3+ years of experience working within ERP systems.
+ Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs, including MS Word, MS Excel, and Outlook.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
+ Ability to build relationships internally and externally.
+ High level of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
+ Proficient in problem analysis and problem-solving skills, data entry and management, and general math skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or a related field, or 2-5 years of equivalent successful prior experience.
+ Knowledge of QuickBooks is preferred.
+ Previous experience using Job Boss is a plus.
+ Detail-oriented with demonstrated ability to multi-task and balance multiple projects at one time.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position in Rockaway, working five days a week from 8am to 4:30pm. The role requires close collaboration with the team and maintaining a professional work environment.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
pays for the cost of the employees medical, dental and vision. If you have dependents you pay for the cost for them. They do have a 401k plan with a dollar for dollar match up to the first 3% then 50% for the next two.
