Summary:
This position will be responsible for purchases, supplies and equipment. Assists with inventory and compiles stock records in hospital stockroom. Must possess effective communication skills, both oral and written. Leadership and organization skills are needed to prioritize and coordinate duties as assigned. Must be computer literate. Desirable traits include being an effective communicator with self-motivation and a positive attitude maintained throughout. Must be a self-starter, decision-maker and team player.

Responsibilities:
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Completes supply orders in a clear and accurate manner.Accepts responsibility for collecting data on the amount of supplies needed from each unit. Demonstrates proficient use of all computerized systems for materials management. MMIS Internet and EDI system 10-Key General keyboard skills Receives, reviews and has requisitions approved prior to ordering Follows purchasing approval policy Is aware of product MSDS requirements Maintains supplies in a neat, clean and organized manner Accurately follows instructions for proper storage of supplies Reports all problems with obtaining supplies promptly to Director Maintains accurate, organized records of the type and amount of supplies ordered Consistently demonstrates the ability to meet the department work schedule Performs assigned duties within the time allowed Completes special projects in a timely manner Manages inventory appropriately Periodically takes physical count of stock on hand verifying count with supervisor Timely purchase of: Inventory, non-inventory med/surgical items Minor and capital equipment All general, routine and non-routine supplies Demonstrates appropriate interaction with facility suppliers Prepares accurate reports to administration of the type and amount of supplies received Demonstrates ability to operate hospital owned vehicles including straight truck and full-size and/or mini vans Demonstrates ability to operate office equipment including copy machine, fax machine and computers Adopts a plan for ongoing professional development Demonstrates willingness to participate in education, serves as a role model, demonstrates ability to be a team player Responsible for maintaining a departmental climate of openness, fairness, acceptance or criticism and discussion of ideas within the department Resolves conflicts both within and outside the department in an expeditious manner Demonstrates practices to keep all medical record information protected and confidential Follows hospital policy regarding communication of patient information Follows department policy as to stored medical records Comes to work as scheduled and consistently demonstrates dependability and punctuality
Hours will be dependent on patient census and workload. Ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, to include after-hours and weekends as necessary.

EDUCATION:
GED or High School Diploma preferred
Previous Experience Requirements:
EXPERIENCE:
2 years of previous experience in field preferred
Combination of 2 years of education and experience in position field preferred
Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
SKILLS (If Applicable):
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language required
Ability to type, navigate websites, and learn multiple purchasing systems required
Other Certifications/Requirements:
Current, valid driver's license issued in the state of legal residence required
Will operate FRHS owned vehicles
