Job Summary: 

The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and procuring materials, components, and services essential for the production of medical devices. This role demands a thorough understanding of supply chain management, regulatory compliance, and supplier relationship management within the medical device industry. The Buyer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement while upholding the highest quality and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers to ensure they meet stringent quality, cost, and delivery requirements specific to medical devices.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all purchased materials and components comply with medical device regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA requirements).Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best prices and delivery schedules, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.Inventory Management: Maintain optimal inventory levels to support production without overstocking, considering the unique needs of medical device manufacturing.Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure incoming materials meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements.Cost Reduction: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or compliance.Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasing decisions, focusing on the medical device sector.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to align procurement activities with production schedules and new product introductions, ensuring regulatory compliance.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $37.00/hr.
