We are actively and urgently hiring for a Buyer who is local to the New Berlin areas. This person will act as the main point of contract for all sourcing related activities for the follow commodities: Machine and Fabricated parts and tool and die sets.
ResponsibilitiesSourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expensesAssessing vendors and their offerings with in-person visits, interviews and analysis to assess their qualityCollaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requestsNegotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit their companyCoordinating with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and servicesAuthorizing payments and managing purchasing expenses with meticulous record-keeping
Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain management, or managing suppliers.Commodity experience in machine parts, tool and die, fabrications (metal steel fabrications) preferredAbility to read blueprints.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Apps (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).Strong communication, organization/time management, and problem-solving skills.Collaborative nature to ensure all stakeholders are managed and engaged when appropriate.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree required.Work Environment
Monday-Thursday are onsite, Fridays offer the option to be remote. This person will have their own desk and will sit with the rest of the sourcing team. It is an open layout.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.
