Primary responsibilities and requirements for Purchasing/Buyer jobs include: + Purchase materials, components, equipment and services. + Ensures timely performance of suppliers to meet needs of internal and external customers. + Works with customers to determine requirements. + Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and engineering departments to maintain inventory at planned levels. + Requires 2 years of purchasing / related experience minimum. + BA/BS degree or equivalent in business, purchasing, materials, supply chain management or related discipline. + Utilizes access to detailed drawings and specifications related to part numbers so that the buyer can provide the information to the supplier. + Utilize SAP ERP system in day-to-day work.
