Description We are offering a permanent employment opportunity for a Buyer in Palo Alto, California. In this role, you will play a crucial part in purchasing goods, materials, and services, ensuring a seamless and continuous supply to meet our operational needs. You will also participate in supplier relationship management and quality execution, which involves setting up new suppliers in our ERP system and flowing quality requirements to suppliers. Responsibilities: • Ensure accurate and efficient purchasing of goods, materials, components, or services in line with our specified cost, quality, and delivery targets. • Set up new suppliers in our ERP system and communicate quality requirements to suppliers. • Address potential supply problems that may impact business operations and communicate these issues promptly. • Explore opportunities for cost reduction and evaluate areas for potential improvement. • Establish a detail-oriented and consistent approach in all supplier relationships. • Adhere to company guidelines and purchasing policies. • Seek alternate sources for goods and materials when necessary. • Evaluate tenders and quotations from potential suppliers and prepare purchase orders accordingly. • Resolve any issues with suppliers concerning price, quality, delivery, or invoice. • Collaborate with stakeholders and suppliers on new projects, supplies, and initiatives, advising them of any impact on purchasing and production activities. • Stay informed about changes that could affect the supply and demand of needed products and materials, and communicate any impact. • Support product change requests and review or communicate the impact to the team. • Develop, maintain, and manage supplier relationships, ensuring good communications. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Buyer role or similar • Proficiency in buying processes and procurement • Demonstrated experience with Epicor and Epicor ERP systems • Proven ability to manage existing supplier relationships effectively • Experience in obtaining quotes and negotiating pricing • Ability to manage vendor relationships, ensuring timely delivery and quality of products • Strong interpersonal and communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
