Job Title: BuyerJob Description We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. This role requires an individual who can work safely and courteously, adhering to all company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will efficiently process purchase orders, handle day-to-day transactional activities related to purchasing, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Responsibilities + Process purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. + Handle order tracking, invoicing, and payment processing. + Develop and implement inventory control strategies to optimize stock levels. + Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant teams to prevent stockouts or excess inventory. + Analyze demand patterns and adjust inventory plans accordingly. + Maintain accurate and up-to-date master data, including product information, supplier details, and pricing. + Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and industry regulations. + Maintain relationships with existing vendors and negotiate terms. + Source new suppliers when needed. + Negotiate favorable terms, discounts, and pricing with suppliers to achieve cost savings. + Assess and manage potential risks associated with suppliers, contracts, and market fluctuations. + Utilize analytical tools and methods to analyze purchasing data and identify trends. + Generate regular reports on key procurement metrics and present findings to management. + Track and manage order status, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any issues. + Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain. + Implement strategies to address any disruptions in the supply chain. + Work with cross-functional teams, including production, logistics, and quality control. + Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier communications. + Provide regular updates on procurement activities to relevant stakeholders. Essential Skills + Purchasing + Procurement + Supply chain + Buyer purchasing + SAP + Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). + Excellent organizational and communication abilities. + Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + 1-2 years of experience in a procurement or buying role. + Experience using procurement software or ERP systems. + Related experience within the manufacturing industry. Work Environment This position offers a great opportunity to gain experience in the manufacturing industry. Initially, the role is a contract position while we search for a purchasing analyst. However, there is potential for the role to become permanent based on performance. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
