Description
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Must be able to work in a very demanding, fast-paced environment and have fun.
• Review and process purchase requisitions and purchase orders for goods and services.
• Purchase equipment, direct ship and reagent orders from multiple suppliers necessary to fulfill order requirements.
• Create purchase orders via proprietary software
• Create customer sales orders
• Monitor margin levels for equipment and reagent purchases, notify sales if margin is under desired amount so the selling price can be revised.
• Set up new part numbers in Chempax in both the item master and customer file, maintain item descriptions, purchase price & selling price.
• Provides liaison services between vendors and departments for order status, procurement procedures, and problem resolution.
• Assists in bid openings for competitive solicitations such as requests for quotes, bids, and proposals.
• Communicate about orders directly with customers when needed.
• Maintains records in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Validate, reconcile, and process receiving reports, vendor invoices, and other payment documents.
• Modify customer orders for billing process.
• Continually negotiate pricing and terms with current and new suppliers.
• Research new components and new supply chains options
• Keep an open line of communication with our Customer Service, Production, Inventory, and Logistics departments to successfully meet the company’s shared OTIF goals.
• Input and update any new costs for existing SKUs in ERP system.
• Be able to determine minimum / maximum inventory level patterns and adjust the re-order points accordingly.
• Ability to multitask time sensitive projects.
• Facilitate equipment and reagent returns.
• Order lab supplies.
• Process the analysis of metal coupons.
• Sales team support.
• Process lab invoices from Enthalpy or Associated Lab.
• Process Mathew Pallet invoices.
• Order shipping supplies from JJ Keller.
• Develop and maintain Supplier relationships both domestic and international.
• Monitor supplier performance.
• Research new components and new supply chain options.
• Identify and monitor raw material costs.
• Assist in the approval and setting up process of new suppliers.
• Negotiate discount structure with new suppliers.
• Act as a liaison between Chemco and suppliers to resolve invoice issues.
• Act as back-up for raw materials and direct ship finished goods as necessary to fulfill production and order requirements.
• Maintenance of inventory levels to reduce costs.
• Assist the Supply Chain Director on special projects and all other duties
• Demonstrate a commitment to safety & continual improvement of company policies, Integrity, ethics and legal compliance.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $37.00/hr.
