Buyer Associate - ADV
Description We are looking for a diligent Buyer Associate - ADV to join our team in FORT WAYNE, Indiana, 46802-2600, United States. The position involves handling acquisition and sourcing of materials and resources essential for the company's operations. The role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity, where the selected candidate will be assisting with contracts, LTA, and order creation. Responsibilities: • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adequate sourcing of materials and resources. • Handle customer service-related queries and provide effective solutions. • Manage and maintain accurate and updated records of customer credit. • Ensure smooth communication with customers and internal teams. • Oversee the process of customer credit applications, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. • Conduct regular training sessions for staff to improve office functions. • Participate in planning and scheduling activities to ensure timely deliveries. • Handle accounts payable (AP), invoice, and payment processing tasks. • Monitor customer accounts and initiate appropriate action when necessary. • Ensure materials handling adheres to quality and safety standards. • Use Microsoft Excel for documentation and record-keeping purposes. • Coordinate shipping processes to ensure timely deliveries. • Manage purchase orders and contracts efficiently. • Contribute to productivity by implementing effective strategies in production and engineering tasks. • Ensure all actions align with the finance department's guidelines. • Maintain regular communication with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations. Requirements • Excellent customer service skills to ensure satisfaction and maintain relationships • Strong communication abilities to effectively interact with various teams and stakeholders • Proven sales experience to drive the procurement process • Familiarity with office functions and operations for smooth workflow • Expertise in documentation for maintaining records and providing references • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data organization and analysis • Proven experience in training staff on best practices and procedures • Strategic planning skills to ensure efficient procurement processes • Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) procedures for managing financial transactions • Experience in invoice creation and payment processing • Familiarity with materials handling to ensure safe and efficient transportation • Commitment to quality and maintaining high standards • Ability to manage scheduling for timely deliveries and productions • Proficiency in using 'About Time' software for time tracking and project management • Understanding of finance principles to make cost-effective decisions • Experience in a production environment and understanding of its dynamics • Knowledge of credit procedures to manage financial risks • Ability to improve productivity through efficient procedures • Basic understanding of engineering principles for technical purchases • Excellent communication skills to effectively convey information • Ability to engage with stakeholders at various levels • Experience in processing purchase orders to facilitate procurement • Knowledge of shipping procedures for efficient deliveries • Experience in managing deliveries to ensure timely receipt of goods.
