Job SummaryAccountable for supporting site direct and indirect procurement team. Responsible for preparing weekly open order reports for key suppliers, resolving AP open items between suppliers and GKN, expediting material at suppliers and escalating shortages. Additional projects assigned accordingly.
Job Responsibilities Prepare supply chain reports for buyers & project teams. Resolve receiving issues between GKN, forwarder & suppliers. Responsible for resolution of AP payment disconnects between GKN and suppliers. Supports buying team with the RFQ process. Research PO coverage to ensure contracts and PO releases are in place to support production. Ensure continuity of supply and lead escalation meetings with suppliers for parts shortages to develop recovery plan. Effectively communicate status updates to key stakeholders, including timely identification and escalation / resolution of issues Expedite material with suppliers when coverage gaps are identified and determine cause of delays and suggests possible corrections. Partner with buyers on assigned sourcing projects Share best practices in Strategic Sourcing and Indirect Procurement Job Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent in Business, Engineering, or Science Discipline, or 5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree. 3 years of experience in Procurement/Commercial or Supply Chain Management roles. Must be able to perform work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.
