Position SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer/Planner to manage and optimize the inbound planning of raw materials to ensure the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the timely delivery of raw materials and collaborating with vendors and internal teams to meet customer demands. This role requires an understanding of supply chain operations, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to address and resolve any issues related to inbound material flow.
What You Will Do: Processing of purchase orders based on customer order requirements. Ensure the timely delivery of raw materials to meet production needs while minimizing delays. Communicate with suppliers and logistics partners to monitor and manage raw material orders, delivery schedules, and transportation logistics. Ensure all materials are delivered on time and in the correct quantities. Work closely with the warehouse team to identify inventory discrepancies and resolve issues promptly. Ensure that all raw materials meet required quality standards. Address any quality issues with suppliers. Proactively identify and resolve issues related to supply chain disruptions, such as delayed shipments, stock shortages, or material discrepancies. Participate in ongoing efforts to streamline supply chain processes and improve overall material planning efficiency. Other duties will be assigned as required by the supervisor and may vary depending on employee experience as well as production seasonality. What You Need: Bachelor’s Degree or Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred. 1-3 years of experience in supply chain coordination or logistics, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment. Proficient in Microsoft & Google Suite (Excel, Gmail, Google Sheets). Experience with supply chain software (e.g., SAP or similar ERP systems) is considered an asset. High level of attention to detail and accuracy in order processing and issue resolution. Ability to travel to vendor sites or other Cimpress/Vistaprint locations if required. Ability to work independently with little or no supervision for extended periods of time.
