The Buyer Planner for Leica Biosystems is responsible for globally managing, maintaining, buying and planning for the different product groups offered by Leica Biosystems. Planning methods include MRP, ROP and Kanban/eKanban planning methods depending on the requirement. Candidate needs to be able to manage and coordinate communication, including forecasting activities, with cross functional teams including Sales, Marketing and Production both on site as well as globally. You will be a part of the Global Supply Chain team and report to thePlanning Manager responsible for Demand Planning RM and FG. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Collaborate closely with Leica's Core Histology Consumables production team and suppliers to ensure timely deliveries. + Continuously enhance our materials processes to achieve world-class supply performance and participate in special initiatives within the Global Supply Chain team, as well as other projects as needed. + Manage a portion of the Core Histology portfolio including but not limited to purchase and/or production order placement. + Inventory Level management + Day to day management of inventory calculator, on-time delivery coding, and international stock movement. + Actively use planning tools to improve day to day inventory levels and on-time delivery. The essential requirements of the job include: + Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred: Business Administration, Supply Chain Management. + 3 – 5 years of experience in purchasing and supply chain roles within a manufacturing company. + Prior ERP Experience: SAP Preferred. + Excellent Skills with Excel + Exceptional Analytical and problem-solving skills. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + ISO 13485 medical device manufacturing. + Database system design (Access, Power PI, Qlickview, QuickBase….).
