ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES

Responsible for purchasing and negotiating materials, equipment, and supplies.Maintain day to day communication with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, system data integrity, and ordering parameters for individual materialsSchedule production within production environment by issuing work orders and maintaining schedulesMaintain ideal inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries, while maximizing turns, and minimizing carrying costsRely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goalsPerform a variety of complicated tasks. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expectedUnderstand the dynamics of effective teamwork to attain higher levels of performanceUnderstands lean manufacturing and can demonstrate various lean practicesDemonstrate a commitment to engage teams in other departments or divisions of the organization

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s Degree, business or supply chain preferredThree to five years of professional supply chain experience

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

No overnight travel is required.
