Job Summary:
The Jr. Buyer/Planner will support the procurement and production planning functions to ensure timely availability of materials, components, and finished goods. This role will be responsible for purchasing, scheduling, and inventory control to optimize production efficiency and cost-effectiveness while maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute purchase orders for raw materials, components, and supplies in alignment with production requirements and company policies. Monitor supplier performance and on-time delivery, resolving any issues related to delays, quality, or pricing discrepancies. Assist in developing and maintaining inventory strategies to ensure material availability while minimizing excess stock. Work closely with production, warehouse, and engineering teams to maintain an accurate production schedule and resolve material shortages. Analyze demand forecasts and production schedules to adjust procurement plans accordingly. Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and inventory transactions. Support cost-reduction initiatives through supplier negotiations and alternative sourcing strategies. Support other activities like procurement, logistics and export control as needed. Collaborate with the finance team to manage purchase requisitions, invoice discrepancies, and supplier payments. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience). 1-3 years of experience in procurement, planning, or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
