The Opportunity

Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease. Our extensive portfolio includes drug-eluting stents, bare metal stents, guide wires, balloon dilatation catheters, imaging catheters and software, vessel closure devices and peripheral stents

Our location in Westford, MA, currently has an opportunity for a Buyer/Planner II.

What You’ll Work On

 Conduct research on potential suppliers and vendors, promotions, and other industry trends as a source of accurate and up-to-date information for purchasing activities.Enter data into databases or other computerized systems to maintain up-to-date supplier and vendor information, to track purchase and the status of orders and deliveries, and to generate purchasing reports and statistics.Monitor the quality and timeliness of materials and goods supplied.Follow-up the status of purchase orders with vendors to ensure timely delivery.Communicate status of orders with internal customers.Activities include sourcing, evaluating and selecting suppliers and vendors, negotiating supply contracts, and monitoring the quality and timeliness of materials and services supplied. 

 
Required Qualifications

High School Diploma / GED  Minimum 1 year experience as a buyer/planner

Preferred Qualifications

2 years working in a highly regulated environment preferred preferably from a medical device manufacturing environment2 years working with purchasing

The base pay for this position is $60,000.00 – $120,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
