Buyer Procurement

Performs assigned procurement duties as directed by Procurement Management. Supports internal customers and purchasing department as required on purchasing activities.  Strong customer service focus.

Review/analyze purchase requisitions and order placement for direct, indirect and capital purchases. This includes reviewing all purchase requisitions for proper approvals and account codes, entering the orders into the ERP system. Analyze MRP reports and action accordingly. Analyze and maintaining inventory levels for assigned MRP/Kanban items. Expedite and de-expedite materials as required Managing on-time deliveries through supplier communication and manage supplier performance. Evaluate supplier proposals for cost, lead times, and quality. Responsible for reducing costs and obtaining the highest value for goods and services purchased Compliance with regulatory and corporate practices according to Supply Chain policies, procedures, and practices for guidance. Manage internal programs and reporting (Supplier Corrective Action Response, Supplier Notice of Change) Develop solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Reconciliation of orders/invoices. Utilize data for source selection of suppliers based on ratings. Identify and mitigate risks and issues with suppliers by determining root cause and developing corrective action.  Works under general supervision and participates in determining objectives. Performs all other assigned duties

 

Bachelor's degree, recent graduate of business or supply chain management related, and/or 0 ~ 3 years' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Experience/Skill in the following:

Microsoft Office proficient Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning (SAP) Knowledge of Procurement Processes Supply chain or procurement experience Supplier Management/ Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer Experience interfacing with suppliers Experience negotiating contracts or managing performance Proficient in MS Office Ability to work independently, strong organizational and time management skills. Must be customer service focused Must have the ability to multitask and pay close attention to detail
