The company is looking for a_ **_Buyer Specialist_** _to join the team!_ **Location:** Fremont, CA **Shift:** Mon-Fri, 8:00AM-5:00PM **Type:** 6- Month Contract **Job Description:** + Works in an office setting under desirable conditions with few or no disagreeable features. The individual may be required to enter production support areas. + Some domestic and international travel are required. + Must be able to read and see clearly. Vision clarity with or without correction to read handwritten as well as computer generated documents. + Attendance requirements are based on general attendance policies and the needs of the business as set forth by direct manager. + Significant interaction with multiple departments across the site to collect, influence and collaborate activities. + Groups to include, but not limited to: Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Human Resources, Quality, Finance, Facilities, Project Management, Site Leadership Team, Corporate Stakeholders **Qualifications:** + Minimum of 5 years’ buying/planning experience preferably in a pharmaceutical environment with a Bachelor’s of Science degree + 5 years minimum experience, 3 years direct experience may be considered with a Master of Science degree + Experience utilizing an MRP system (highly prefer SAP) to plan, order, cost, track materials. + Must have experience utilizing Advanced Planning systems to plan, track and coordinate shipment of materials, API and product. + Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint strongly preferred. + Ability to do complex analysis in Microsoft Excel is a must. + Ability to develop and improve processes based Six Sigma or LEAN methodologies (certification a plus) strongly preferred. + Demonstrated problem solving skills with the ability to work under pressure is necessary to be successful in this role This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
