EOE M/F/D/V Job Responsibilities * Perform supply chain and logistics functions, which may include, but are not limited to, material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection, and distribution. * Create integrated processes among internal functions such as operations, purchasing and logistics, and outside suppliers. * Focus resources on continuous improvement of the movement of materials through various production processes and establishes key performance metrics and benchmarks relating to supply chain planning/forecasting to measure actual performance against goal on a regular basis. * Promote alignment by understanding and communicating customer needs and requirements throughout the organization, with the Supply Chain group including Supply Chain, Logistics, and Materials Management. * Required knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills. * Build knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers. * Solve a range of straightforward problems is essential. * Analyze possible solutions using standard procedures is necessary. * Receive a moderate level of guidance and direction is preferred. * Perform related job duties as assigned. Below are the requirements for the different progression levels. **Buyer** **Basic Requirements** + Minimum 2 years of buying experience is required. + Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and databases is essential + Negotiation and analytical skills are necessary + Must possess effective written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills + Must have demonstrated problem-assessment and problem-solving skills + Must possess a strong customer service focus, with ability to build credibility with internal clients and external suppliers **Preferred Qualifications** + MBA or other advanced degree, or CPM certification. + Background in Lean and/or Six Sigma + Strong Customer Service Focus + Strong Leadership Skills + Strong interpersonal skills for interface with individuals at all levels. **Note:** You will have an opportunity to add attachments to your application.
