In this role, you will make independent decisions to improve KPIs you are responsible for (inventory value, days on hand, down time days, supplier lead time, supplier on time delivery, and supplier supply chain agreement compliance and inventory liability). As a Buyer, you will be responsible for your assigned goods and suppliers and manage your portfolio to comply with the quality, delivery and pricing expectations of MFT. As a vital member of the supply chain and operations team, you will own the day-to-day management of our supplier base.What You’ll Do
Make material purchase decisions to ensure on time delivery for production and optimal inventory level for working capital reductionResponsible for independent buying decisions with respect to the PO placement and management of all purchases within assigned portfolio to meet scheduled demand, including order placement, rescheduling, cancellation, and invoice reconciliationLead negotiation for lead-time constraints with suppliers to ensure commitment dates are met.Manage all delivery issues and take appropriate corrective action to avoid production schedule impact. Proactively manage and resolve medium and long term supply risk to reduce shortages.Independently solve parts shortage problem and manage shortage through Parts Shortage Escalation process when necessary.Manage all Excess and Obsolete Inventory items and negotiation with suppliers for mitigation plan in order to reduce working capitalResponsible for driving and negotiating supplier MOQ alignment to material needs to reduce working capitalManage financial liability for both POs and stocking agreement with suppliersProcurement function in PCR/PCN process including managing inventory transition plan with internally with cross functional team and externally with suppliers in order to minimize E&O and scrap cost and on time delivery to support production.Knowledge on critical commodities to contribute to category strategies and seamless execution of category strategies together with category managersManage and resolve PO Purchase Price Variance issuesProactively communicate PPV to category management to prevent supply chain gap and reduce costWho You Are

CPM, APIC’s certification preferred, or related certificationEffective business communication skills in written and oral EnglishExperience with ERP systems, especially Operations and Supply Chain modulesStrong Excel and analytical skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize and balance workload due to high degree of time sensitive projects with strong sense of urgencyOwnership for end-to-end issue resolutionTimely response and high-quality service to internal customers and all stakeholdersRequired Qualifications
Bachelor’s in supply chain, Business or related field required.Additional Responsibilities
Serve as the supplier advocate to strengthen Supplier relationships and facilitate resolution of production, design, quality and/or delivery problemsCoordinate quality matters and engineering changes/developments between company activities and suppliersWork closely with Commodity Management team to advance enterprise-wide sourcing programs as appropriatePrepare RFQ documentation (drawings, specifications) when requiredPreferred Qualifications
Two years of related experience is desired, not required.
