As a Buyer, you will play a key leadership role, driving change in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to lead, coordinate, and support supply chain activities for the Welding Accessories & Cutting Division. In this role, you will manage both tactical and strategic supply chain responsibilities, focusing on continuous improvement with suppliers and manufacturing teams. You will also collaborate closely with ITW Welding Group Companies to execute shared strategies effectively. This is your chance to make a significant impact while advancing your leadership and supply chain expertise. **How you will make an impact:** **Procurement and Vendor Management** + Lead strategic sourcing projects and resourcing activities within the division + Develop and manage our supplier base + Responsible for vendor negotiation (price, delivery, quality compliance) + Developing collaborative versus transactional relationships with key vendors + Supplier visits, evaluation, and quality audits + Communicate MRD adjustments to suppliers based upon expected material requirements + Proactively manage the Corrective Action Request process **Materials Management** + Activities related to procurement, storage, and shipment of materials + Manage material price variance, inventory turns, and site cost reduction programs + Responsible for cycle counts and inventory management + Responsible for maintaining MOH goals as well as limiting the non-"active" inventory classification + Responsible for raw materials when transitioning from an existing product to a new product **Operational Efficiency and Cost Management** + Leading cost, quality, delivery, productivity, and simplification activities + Documentation of all cost savings and avoidances + Supervise material handlers and seek out areas for simplification + Daily interaction with operations, product, and engineering staff **What you need to do to be successful in this role:** + **Cost Management** : Proven ability to identify, manage, and achieve cost savings. + **Strategic Planning:** Demonstrated success in setting and accomplishing short- and long-term goals and strategies. + **Adaptability** : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. + **Initiative** : Self-starter with a conscientious, enthusiastic, and positive attitude. + **Prioritization and Analysis:** Strong competency in prioritizing tasks and utilizing analytical skills effectively. + **Communication and Negotiation:** Excellence in oral/written communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. + **Teamwork:** Skilled at fostering, building, and promoting a collaborative team environment. + **Leadership** : Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, and time management capabilities. + Bachelor’s Degree in Operations/Supply Chain/Business Management required + Minimum of three years experience + Previous experience in effective supplier management (price negotiation, delivery, quality) + Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office package) + Travel up to 10% of time ITW Welding is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
