To support the buyer and or purchasing department with all procurementrelated tasks such as selecting the right product mix managing purchase orders monitoring inventory and providing administrative support The ideal candidate would be one who studied fashion/ retail/ clothing buying & someone who is interested in becoming a Buyer one day with focus with the retail side of business
Key Performance Areas
Creating of all product information for the Retail system
Managing creating and inputting orders
Monitoring inventory
Administration of stock for photography for online/ orders
Distribution of stock to warehouse as and when required
Maintenance of the Retail System
Assisting Buyer by liaising with suppliers on product info and briefing
Loading relevant reports on a weekly basis for the buying team and stores
Maintain the sample room and showroom displays
Liaising with Marketing department on all pricing/product detail for all marketing campaigns
General Office admin and assistance
Assist Buyer with selection of ranges
Working closely with suppliers and keeping track of market trends
Liaising with suppliers with regards to the following
Checking on delivery schedule for the buying team
Informing the buying team of late deliveries so that the appropriate action is taken
Communicating with suppliers regarding short/late deliveries and taking appropriate action as directed
Sample management ensuring the correct samples are sent for approval in a timely manner
Samples required for Marketing &ndash ensure timely procurement of samples
Requirements
Diploma/ Degree in Bachelor of Consumer Science/ Retail Clothing Management/ BComm or similar
Grade 12
Ability to work under pressure
Good Time Management Skills and team player
Ability to work independently and take initiative
Proficiency in Excel/ Word/ Office
Salary Market related
