Our client requires multiple C# developers with experience in control systems, Scada, embedded devices, and industrial protocols. The ideal candidate will have strong working knowledge of industrial protocols and/or embedded devices in Linux environment. Experience in oil & gas and/or instrumentation will be an asset. Successful candidate will be self-driven and have proven ability to work independently and deliver results. Candidates with above qualifications but less experience may be considered for a junior role. 

This position is onsite near government center in Edmonton.

Mandatory Requirements Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering Very Strong experience in C# backend (non-visual) programming Strong experience with control systems, Scada, embedded devices, or industrial protocol especially with DNP3 Proven ability to work independently Proven ability to design and deliver solutions from concepts and ideas

 

Desirable Requirements Experience C# programming in Linux and embedded systems environment is highly desirable Experience with instrumentation, monitoring, or flow measurement Experience with WPF application development, Developer Express component library  Oil & gas experience Experience with Docker  Experience with Mender Instrumentation experience  Experience with Rockwell instrumentation, motor drive, Power Flex, and Rockwell automation Experience with ACE, WPS, Developer Express  Experience with industrial protocols such as ENIP (Ethernet IP), MODBUS, OPC-UA, MQTT, WITSML  Experience with PLC programming Master or PhD in computer engineering or related
