**C++ Developer - APA Transparency Reporting** **Location: London or Remote Employment Type: Full-Time** **Role:** As a C++ Developer, you will contribute to the development and enhancement of Tradeweb's APA Transparency Reporting systems. These applications operate in a high-frequency, low-latency environment, focusing on the real-time processing of pre-trade and post-trade reports. The role requires expertise in building scalable and reliable systems that can handle large volumes of financial data with minimal latency while collaborating daily with support, operations, and business teams. As the role evolves, you may take on broader system ownership, mentoring responsibilities, and lead technical discussions around system architecture and strategic improvements, along with extended responsibility for project scheduling, prioritisation, and release and deployment management. **Job Responsibilities:** + Design and develop enhancements to Tradeweb's APA Transparency Reporting systems. + Develop and refine high-frequency, low-latency, multi-threaded C++ applications to enhance performance and scalability. + Implement efficient, high-performance, multi-threaded algorithms and data structures using modern C++ techniques. + Collaborate with business teams to refine and translate business requirements into functional requirements. + Extend and maintain the APA's automated tests to ensure system reliability and performance. + Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production incidents, ensuring system stability and performance. + Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, maintain code quality, and improve overall system reliability. + Maintain technical documentation, including API specifications, system architecture, and developer guides to ensure knowledge sharing and long-term maintainability. **Experience & Skills:** **Technical:** + Strong C++ (C++11/14/17) and familiarity with Microsoft Visual Studio and STL + Strong aptitude for high performance, multi-threaded development concepts + Familiarity with Network programming (TCP/UDP, sockets, multicast, etc.). + Nice to Have: + Testing & Automation: GTest, PyTest, Python + Version Control & CI/CD: Git, GitLab, Ansible, JIRA + Data & Storage: ElasticSearch, FIX, SQL, Redis **Non-Technical:** + Strong problem-solving and communication skills. + Ability to assess and prioritise competing commercial, technical and operational tasks + A motivation to drive technical excellence in the project with regards to the strategic direction of methodologies, practises, and technologies. + An aptitude to identify, organise and communicate risks with regards to release management, deployment and scheduling. + The adaptability to navigate an environment of changing regulatory needs and an ability to take incomplete business concepts and translate them to flexible technical requirements and implementations.
