C++ Embedded S/W Engineer

Summary:
Responsible for developing and maintaining real-time embedded software applications with a focus on C++ programming, complex problem solving, and operating system concepts.

Job Requirements:

Proficiency in Object-Oriented principles and C++ (version 11 or higher). Expertise in complex problem solving using data structures and algorithms. Deep understanding of operating system concepts. Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including architecture, design, implementation, integration, and testing. Familiarity with Linux-based environments and real-time operating systems such as VxWorks or Integrity. Active Secret security clearance.

Preferred Skills:

Knowledge of standard communication buses and protocols (e.g., RS-232, RS-422, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet). Experience in technical task leadership or subject matter expertise in relevant areas. Familiarity with source code control, issue tracking tools, unit testing, and static analysis tools. Ability to configure and manage a continuous test environment. Experience with Agile development methodologies. Understanding of Cyber Security concepts. Familiarity with Department of Defense products. Experience with board support packages and device driver development.

Job Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain real-time embedded software applications related to image processing, target detection, missile guidance/navigation/control, and system communication. Work with code written in C++ version 11 or higher in a Linux-based environment or real-time operating systems. Utilize source code control, issue tracking, and modern test tools for software development and maintenance. Contribute to technical task leadership and demonstrate expertise in embedded software development. Integrate and test software systems to ensure functionality and reliability.

Pay Details: $42.00 to $57.00 per hour
