The C-5M Super Galaxy is a strategic heavy airlift cargo aircraft used by the USAF, with the AFLCMC C-5M Super Galaxy Division overseeing its development, procurement, and sustainment. The KBR C-5M team supports this division by facilitating modernization and sustainment activities related to the aircraft’s RMQSI. The incumbent will serve as a key C-5M Program Office specialist, responsible for logistics integration, maintenance data collection, and analysis support. They will collaborate with various teams and agencies to enhance and execute logistics support integration activities, aiming to increase C-5M Materiel Availability objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities
Draft instructions, develop various sustainment and project parts lists, performing supply data collection and analysis, and performing root cause analysis for sustainment issuesMonitor data on current government supply operations, managing different pieces such as sourcing, warehousing, deliveries, and scheduling production. Collect, analyze and optimize data to increase efficiencies, monitor supply chain processes and inventory using government supply chain management databases and tools.Identify and measure inefficiencies, determining how to streamline the supply chain and creating strategies for improvement, briefing leadership on deviations, and submitting solutions. TPerform supply data trend analysis to improve stockage effectiveness, demand forecasting, isolating and analyzing supply system deficiencies, recommend appropriate solutions, and assisting in the production of data required to implement the improvements.Recommend supply procedural changes and submit change recommendation documentation, evaluating customer submitted documents, change requests, deficiency reports, safety/hazard reports, and accident/incident reports. Execution of responsibilities will require key logistics skills, including: problem solving; critical and creative thinking; conflict resolution; multi-tasking; clear and well-organized communication skills (written, verbal and active listening); strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft office applications; and the ability to develop well-organized and credible presentations and formal written documentsBasic Qualifications
At least 8 years of experience directly related to the positionBachelors Degree in logistics, management, business administration or related field. Note – Additional experience may be considered sufficient to satisfy the degree requirementExperience in DoD or USAF organizations performing logistics functions and demonstrating knowledge of current USAF supply and logistics processes, policies and procedureExperience in supply operations supporting USAF and/or DoD system maintenance requirements, both depot and fieldCandidate must possess the ability to work well as part of a team and with minimal supervision.Ability to travel out of local area 5-10% of calendar year if needed.Must possess a Secret security clearance or higherMust be a US citizenPreferred Qualifications
15+ years experience in USAF and/or DoD logistics and supply systems operationsDoD supply experience supporting the C-5M at multiple organizational levelsExperience supporting DoD ACAT I/II/III acquisition programsLogistics experience supporting the C-5MUSAF program office experienceRelevant DAWIA certifications in logisticsExperience at multiple Air Force or DoD centers and geographic locationsKBR Benefits
