You Are:

The C Modelling Engineer provides leadership to multiple projects with appropriate technical options and well-suited design standards for embedded system product development system level validation and performance optimization strategies. Account for others' developmental activities; assist project manager in day-to-day project execution.

 

The Opportunity:

·       Develop and maintain C-based models for hardware components to meet performance and functionality requirements.

·       Create simulation environments and test cases to validate models against hardware specifications.

·       Optimize C models for speed and accuracy, identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.

·       Collaborate with hardware, embedded software, and system engineering teams to ensure model functionality aligns with overall system goals.

·       Conduct performance analysis to support design decisions and provide insights for hardware design improvements.

·       Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices in C modeling, simulation, and performance tuning.

·       Document technical specifications, test plans, and usage guidelines to ensure model accuracy and usability.

 

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

 

What you need:

·       5+ years of experience in embedded software development, focusing on C-based hardware modelling and simulation.

·       Strong expertise in C programming, especially in creating, testing, and optimizing hardware models.

·       In-depth understanding of computer architecture, digital signal processing, and embedded systems.

·       Proficiency with simulation and debugging tools for embedded systems.

·       Excellent problem-solving and communication skills for effective cross-functional collaboration.

·       Preferred Qualifications:

o   Experience with hardware/software co-simulation tools and methodologies.

o   Familiarity with SystemC or similar system modeling languages.

o   Knowledge of hardware description languages (e.g., Verilog, VHDL) is a plus.

o   Relevant certifications in embedded systems and Agile development experience.

 

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Washington

Compensation Range: $68,800-$103,200

 

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They are eligible to participate in the Company’s 401(k) Retirement Plan with employer matching. They and their dependents residing in the US are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as the following Company-paid Employee Only benefits: basic life insurance, accidental death and disability insurance, and short- and long-term disability benefits. Regular employees may purchase additional voluntary short-term disability benefits, and participate in a Health Savings Account (HSA) as well as a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) for healthcare, dependent child care, and/or commuting expenses as allowable under IRS guidelines. Benefits offerings vary in Puerto Rico.

All US employees who work in a state or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
