C-sUAS Systems Engineer
Summary The C-sUAS Systems Engineer will support the government by providing hands-on systems engineering services for C-sUAS systems. This position is contingent upon additional funding. Responsibilities Conduct periodic system testing of C-sUAS sensor systems and effectors to monitor persormance and identify anomalities. Design and execute system assessments to evaluate performance of new and emerging C-sUAS technologies Conduct data analysis for systems to assist with the refinement and expansion of current sensing capabilities and sustain optimal operational readiness. Make recommendations to reduce or eliminate false alarms. Manage maintenance database to analyze trends and determine root cause of failures and system degradation and develop periodic reports. Support post drone incident analysis and report development Other duties as assigned Qualifications Five years of experience in conducting technology assessments of current and newly emerging sensor technologies. Two years of experience of CUAS detection and mitigation systems. Bachelor’s Degree in general engineering or related field. Demonstrated ability to communicate via written and oral means effectively Demonstrated critical thinking capability Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Experience working in DOD field. Master’s degree preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft applications and programs. Excellent writing and speaking skills are essential. Ability to manage installation and maintenance schedules to complete work to acceptable standards within the time allotted Ability to troubleshoot electronic security systems Ability to work collaboratively in a combined industry/government group
