**Job Title: A&P Mechanic**
**Job Description**
Responsible for performing scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspections, and corrosion control of aircraft components, airframe, and power plant. Maintain appropriate aircraft records and logs. Service, repair, and modify aircraft structures and structural components of basic difficulty. Using manufacturers' manuals, operators' handbooks, or other similar documents, apply technical knowledge to solve pilot-reported discrepancies with moderate supervision.
**Responsibilities**
+ Maintain and repair aircraft, engines, propellers, and components including, but not limited to, flight controls, fuel systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical components.
+ Utilize technical knowledge of airframe and powerplant systems in determining equipment malfunctions and apply the required expertise in restoring equipment condition and/or operation.
+ Employ technical knowledge to solve basic problems by interpreting technical documentation such as manufacturers' manuals, blueprints, Instructions for Continued Airworthiness (ICA’s), Minimum Equipment List (MEL), and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and accepted practices to return aircraft to an airworthy condition.
+ Ensure all logbook entries are posted and correct before returning an aircraft to service.
+ Inventory, maintain, and order aircraft parts, equipment, and supplies as directed by a supervisor or manager to maintain aircraft and aircraft support equipment.
+ Perform aircraft ground handling such as towing, refueling/defueling, and pre- and post-flight inspections and servicing.
+ Change tires, remove and replace components, and perform operational and functional checks of these components.
+ Participate in phase and special inspections to include Service Bulletins (SB’s) and Airworthiness Directives (AD’s) under direct supervision.
+ Inspect and operate powered and non-powered ground support equipment, ensuring equipment is serviced in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
**Essential Skills**
+ A&P license
+ Repair
+ Troubleshooting
+ Line maintenance
+ C-130 experience (if no C-130 experience, 6-10 years of military experience)
+ Experience with military aircraft such as F15, F22, F18, F35
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ High School diploma or equivalent AND 2 years of relevant and progressively responsible hands-on work experience on aircraft maintenance OR equivalent U.S. Military training
+ FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate required
+ Preferred applicants will have experience working on specific assigned aircraft
+ Working knowledge of aircraft systems, maintenance of aircraft and engine systems, troubleshooting, dispatch requirements, tools, ground support equipment, technical reports and forms, manuals, catalogs, and work practices in actual line or hangar maintenance environment
+ Basic understanding of the systems, components, and engines of assigned aircraft
+ Successfully complete all training required for job level of assigned airframes, and meet technical knowledge and proficiency standards to travel and support assigned aircraft independently within two (2) years
+ Capable of operating life support equipment including non-aircraft radios and sat-phones
+ Able to prepare written documents such as trip reports, corrective actions, and other company reports in a clear and concise manner
+ Basic understanding of FAA standards 14 CFR Part 43, 91, 125, and 145

**Work Environment**
Training will be in Crestview, and the primary work location will be in the Andalusia hangar. Once the hangar in Crestview is built in early 2025, all work will be based there. The position requires international travel for extended periods, sometimes under austere and sub-standard living conditions. While traveling, work will involve extended and irregular hours in a variety of environmental conditions including hot and cold temperatures (<23 degrees F and >90 degrees F), high elevations, dusty conditions, and stressful situations. The role involves working first shift - 4/10's with overtime. The company provides all tools for all disciplines.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CRESTVIEW, Florida.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $33.08 - $33.08/hr.
