Key Responsibilities: 

Provides direct support to SSC Technical Agents, focusing on the SSC/BZC Division.Captures and manages updates on Risks, Issues, and Gaps for mission threads as identified by SSC/BZC leadership.Collaborates with Federally Funded Research and Development Centers (FFRDC) and the U.S. Government (USG) across various SSC areas to identify and address Risks, Issues, and Gaps (RIGS).Works with acquisition and operational communities to resolve issues through innovative and collaborative approaches, while gaining familiarity with multiple space acquisition and operational offices.Generates lessons learned that can be shared across the various mission teams.Actively engaged and contributes in working level meetings with stakeholders and multi-disciplined engineering groups.

Qualifications:

Required: 

Bachelor's degree in astro/aeronautical, mechanical systems engineering, or computer science with at least 10 years of applicable experience in space program acquisition, systems engineering, and/or software acquisition programsEligible for program clearance and able to perform duties in a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF)Mission dedication, creativity, and the ability to work effectively in a secure environmentSubject Matter Expert (SME) in command and control at all levels – strategic, operational, and tacticalUnderstanding and fluency of find, fix, track, engage, and assess (F2TEA) lifecycle and application to the joint targeting cycle conceptsDeep understanding of mission planning lifecycle from analysis, trades, generation of courses of action, mission execution, and post mission analysisProvides direct support to SSC Technical Agents, focusing on the SSC/BZC DivisionCaptures and manages updates on Risks, Issues, and Gaps (RIGS) for mission threads as identified by SSC/BZX leadershipFamiliarity with multiple space acquisition and operational officesAbility to deliver effective briefings/presentations/papers on complex topics for audiences that may be large and/or include high-level decision makersAbility to prioritize competing requirements and tasks; also capable of managing long-term

tasks, as well as short-term obligations

Ability to develop trusted relationships with Government leaders and with mission partnersSelf-starter with effective time management skillsStrong attention to detail, exceptional organizational and communication skills, effective and clear written (and oral) communication ability, strategic thinking, and interpersonal skills

Desired:

Master's degree in astro/aeronautical, mechanical systems engineering, or computer science is preferred with over 8 years or more of applicable experienceDemonstrated ability to adapt and flex to the execution of multiple mission sets across a diverse set of programs and tasksOperational experience a plus

Compensation:

$220- 240k

Additional Compensation:

KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
